The Little Boat That Came Full Circle — And Why I’m So Excited About It
After 25 years, a cross-country journey, and a few wild adventures, my very first fishing boat found its way back to me. The story is unreal — and I filmed it.
It’s Not Every Day a Boat Returns to Its Original Owner…
You’ve heard the saying: “There are two happy days in a boater’s life — the day you buy the boat and the day you sell it.”
Well… I just discovered the third happy day:
The day you get that old boat back.
In the video, I share the full-circle journey of my 1982 Glass Stream jon boat — the one I bought back in 1998, learned to fish in, caught countless bass out of, and basically grew up in.
This little boat changed hands through my family, traveled across states, became a striper boat, then an alligator-hunting rig, and somehow ended up right back with me after 25 years.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just a “look I got my boat back” moment. It’s a story about: -Family -Memories -The boats that shape us -The joy of simple adventures
A Sneak Peek of the Video
-My first reaction seeing the boat again -Stories from years of fishing rivers, lakes, and everywhere in between -How it became a gator-hunting boat for a few years -A family trip to the water to test it out -The rough condition it’s in now -Teasers of the restoration projects coming soon
If you’ve ever owned a small boat, you’ll feel this one.

I’ll be sharing each step — from ripping out the rotten stringers to rebuilding this 41-year-old little legend better than ever.
Stick around. This is going to be fun.
